Mr. Arning is a graduate of the Oklahoma C.L.E.E.T. Academy Class of 1991. As a former SWAT Team Commander and Training Division Commander, he has 20 years experience as a police officer, of which 17 years SWAT experience and 12 years instructor experience. He holds certifications as a Shoot House Instructor, Less-Lethal/Chemical Munitions/Diversionary Device Instructor, Taser Instructor, Active Shooter Instructor and Trainer on Incident Response to Terrorist Bombings from EMRTC. Mr. Arning has extensive experience as an instructor in the field of SWAT related tactics on basic and advanced levels, Tactical Command and Operational Planning. He was instrumental in designing a Basic SWAT Operator Certification Course that is attended by Municipal, County, Federal, and Military Operators from multiple states to obtain their Basic SWAT Certification. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Northeastern State University and is a graduate of the Police Executive Development and Leadership Program from the University of Tulsa.
