Mr. Waterman joined Tactical Electronics in 2011 after one year at Booz Allen Hamilton and 25+ years of service in the U.S. Army, including 20 years in Special Forces. At Booz Allen, he served as an Irregular Warfare and Special Operations Forces Subject Matter Expert and authored the USSOCOM Unconventional Warfare Directive. Mr. Waterman’s military career culminated with service as the Deputy Director for Special Operations, USJFCOM Joint Irregular Warfare Center.
Mr. Waterman’s earlier assignments include service as Commander, Afghan Regional Security Integration Command-East, Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan where he was responsible for all aspects of synchronizing Afghan National Security Force combat activities and capabilities development with International Security and Assistance Force operations within Regional Command East; Deputy Commander Special Operations Command USJFCOM, Special Assistant to CDRUSJFCOM and Chief, Special Operations Branch, USJFCOM responsible for advising the Combatant Commander on special operations and counterterrorism operations, plans, and policy matters and coordinating counterterrorism support for National Special Security Events; and Special Mission Unit Commander of U.S. Southern Command’s CINC’s In-Extremis Force.
Mr. Waterman is recognized as a subject matter expert in Counterinsurgency, Counterterrorism, Foreign Internal Defense, Security Force Assistance, and Unconventional Warfare. He holds a M.S. in International Relations from Troy University and a B.S. in Business from Washington and Lee University.
