The Detonator Diagnostic Trainer 2 (DDT2) is a compact, portable, table-top training platform purpose-built for EOD operators and Bomb Technicians to master essential detonator diagnostic and defeat techniques. Engineered to replicate realistic detonator circuit scenarios, the DDT2 supports repetitive, hands-on practice in wire diagnostics, detonator removal, and critical render safe procedures (RSP).
The DDT2 delivers the value of diagnostic reps, skill sustainment, and immediate feedback under pressure. Its toolless connector block houses four quick-release detonator ports, allowing operators to rapidly configure and reset scenarios—enabling immediate, repeatable training reps without extensive preparation or downtime. A built-in Safe Start feature prevents the system from powering up in armed (energetic feedback) mode or triggering due to existing faults—eliminating premature penalties and reducing wasted training time. Operators can toggle between audible and energetic penalty feedback modes, simulate both monitored and non-monitored detonators, and precisely adjust voltage settings to create training environments that reflect real-world operational complexity.
